# Settings

> Manage your profile, security, team, billing, and account preferences

The **Settings** area lets you configure your personal preferences and, depending on your role, manage account-wide options. The sidebar shows only the sections available to your role.

## Profile

Update your display name, email address, and timezone.

* **Name** — Edit your full name and click **Save** to apply the change.
* **Email address** — Your current email is read-only. Click **Change email** to open a dedicated flow where you enter a new address. A confirmation link is sent to the new address; clicking it completes the change.
* **Timezone** — Select your local timezone from the dropdown. This affects how dates and times are displayed throughout the site.

## Security

Manage your password and two-factor authentication (2FA).

### Updating your password

Enter your **Current password**, then provide a **New password** and confirm it. The new password must meet the displayed strength requirements. Click **Save password** to apply.

### Two-factor authentication

If your account supports 2FA, a **Two-factor authentication** section appears. When enabled, you will be prompted for a one-time code from a TOTP-compatible authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) on each login.

* Click **Enable 2FA** to begin setup. Scan the QR code or enter the manual key into your authenticator app, then confirm the code to activate.
* Click **Disable 2FA** to remove the requirement.
* Use **View recovery codes** to generate backup codes you can use if you lose access to your authenticator app. Store these somewhere safe.

## Team management

<Info>This section is only visible to **admins** and **owners**.</Info>

View and manage the members of your account team. Each member has one of the following roles:

| Role       | Permissions                                                |
| ---------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Owner**  | Full access to all settings, billing, and team management. |
| **Admin**  | Can manage locations and viewer-level team members.        |
| **Viewer** | Read-only access to parking data.                          |

### Adding a team member

Click **Add Team Member** and fill in the member's details. Owners can assign any role; admins can only invite viewers.

### Editing or removing a member

Use the edit or delete actions in the members table. Owners cannot be edited or removed by other team members. Admins can only edit or remove viewers.

## Billing & invoices

<Info>This section is only visible to the **account owner**.</Info>

View your current subscription status and manage billing details.

| Status           | Description                                                            |
| ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Active**       | You have a paid subscription in good standing.                         |
| **Ending soon**  | Your subscription is on a grace period and will end on the shown date. |
| **Trial active** | You are within your 14-day free trial.                                 |
| **Inactive**     | Your trial has ended and no active subscription exists.                |

If you have an active subscription, click **Manage Billing** to open Stripe's secure billing portal where you can update payment methods, download invoices, or cancel your subscription.

If you are on a trial or have no active plan, available pricing plans are shown so you can subscribe.

## Appearance

Choose how the site looks. Select one of three options:

| Option     | Description                            |
| ---------- | -------------------------------------- |
| **Light**  | Always use the light theme.            |
| **Dark**   | Always use the dark theme.             |
| **System** | Match your device's system preference. |

Your selection is saved automatically.

## Account

<Info>This section is only visible to the **account owner**.</Info>

### Delete expired or cancelled registrations

Permanently delete visitor registrations that have already expired or been cancelled. Select a time threshold from the dropdown — for example, registrations with a parking end time older than 30 days — then click **Delete expired or cancelled registrations** and confirm.

Options range from deleting all expired records to those older than 365 days.

<Warning>This action is permanent and cannot be undone.</Warning>

### Cancel account

Use the **Cancel Account** section to permanently delete your ParkSig account. If you have an active subscription, you will need to cancel it before deleting the account.
